Saudi Space Agency Chief Highlights Kingdom’s Sustainability Efforts at Space Symposium

Colorado Springs, April 10, 2025, SPA — Saudi Space Agency Chief Executive Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi participated today in a high-level strategic panel during the 40th annual Space Symposium, held in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The panel, titled “Sustainability: Practices and Responsibilities for the Future of Space,” brought together heads of space agencies, senior leaders, decision-makers, and experts, as well as representatives from specialized space organizations from around the world.
The session focused on strengthening sustainability in the space sector and ensuring continued development through responsible practices that preserve space resources for future generations. Dr. Al-Tamimi discussed current challenges facing the sector and reviewed possible solutions to promote sustainable practices in space activities.

He also reviewed the agency’s initiatives, including supporting scientific research and developing technologies that ensure long-term sustainability in space operations.
