Saudi Arabia Hits One Million Volunteers Milestone

تم النشر في الجمعة 2024-12-06On the occasion of Saudi Volunteer Day coinciding with International Volunteer Day on December 5, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed Al-Rajhi announced that the number of volunteers in Saudi Arabia has reached an impressive one million.
At an event marking the occasion, the minister emphasized that this achievement aligns with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and was accomplished six years ahead of schedule.
Al-Rajhi also noted that the significant support volunteer work receives from the Saudi leadership has led to remarkable accomplishments in 2024.
Volunteer opportunities have reached nearly 440,000, with volunteers contributing more than 59 million hours of service. The economic impact of volunteer work was also significant, amounting to SAR1.2 billion. Furthermore, the National Platform for Volunteer Work currently boasts 2.1 million registered volunteers and 8,397 registered organizations.
Al-Rajhi expressed appreciation to all the volunteers for their outstanding participation and dedication. He also extended thanks to partners from the governmental, non-profit, and private sectors for their invaluable contributions in achieving these successes and overcoming challenges to further support volunteer work.
The event concluded with the presentation of the national volunteer work awards to the winners.
