Positive IMF Report on the Saudi Economy to be Discussed at CFKC Webinar September 7

The Saudi Communication & Financial Knowledge Center (CFKC) will host a Webinar on September 7, 2023 entitled “The International Monetary Fund’s Staff Report On the Saudi Economy.” The event participants will discuss the IMF Staff report within the framework of recent 2023 Article IV consultations, and the positive future outlook for the Saudi economy.

Speakers at the event will include: Thamer Aljared, Deputy Minister of Finance for Macro-Fiscal Policy; Dr. Fahad Alshathri, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia for Research and International Affairs; and Amine Mati, Assistant Director, Mission Chief for Saudi Arabia and Head GCC Division, International Monetary Fund; and the webinar’s moderator will be Waleed Bin Khanfoor.

The participants will highlight Saudi Vision 2030’s structural reforms and their impact on the growth and capacity of the Saudi economy, which was the fastest-growing among the G20 economies. They will also discuss the importance of monetary policy, the continued expansion of financial technology in the Kingdom, and the flexibility of the financial sector, as well as the implementation of the report recommendations.

The webinar is part of a series of meetings, sessions, lectures, and activities organized by CFKC to enrich and disseminate financial knowledge, and to raise awareness of local and international economic issues.
